maya software render.
this is honey shader "honey" taken from highend3d.
also the shader comes with the objects.
however I add one more sphere to scene and attach same shader as right sphere (seen below) the left sphere(I added and assigned existing same shader named HONY)
but as you see different looking like
I checked connections. but I cant find difference
or any light to operate break light linking operation.
so right sphere is correct display.left side is not.however same assigned shader both of them.
what is wrong with it ? (left sphere)

I found a big trick about the problem :
shader works good with poly objects.
but not works with nurbs object that I added and assigned this honey shader.
the weird is this;shader scene has a nurbs object working correctly with this honey shader,
if I add nurbs object and assign this honey shader;does not works.
its very weird.
and I want to learn where the source of the problem.

nobody tried it ?
no any clue ?
absorbing into conclusion:
this HONEY shader does not work on nurbs objects.but works on poly objects.
why ? thanks

nobody tried this HONEY shader with a nurbs object that added manually ?
this shader does not work on nurbs objects
nobody know why?

dear shade experts,
here is honey shader
it does not work with nurbs object. I am really couldnt find the reason.
dont you believe ?
please check this shader with a nurbs object that you add from create menu.and assign this hader onto it.it wont work.it works only with poly
nobody knows why?

the logic approach...
check the properties of the surfaces. check the normals. check if its doubblesided...
just look for the "technical" difference between your surfaces... if it works on the original nurbs surface - it will work on any other nurbs surface too...
there must be a difference between yours and the original one.
debugging is one of the most dull things but the most powerfull for pimping up your skills.

this logic was what I first did.2 days ago
checked difference between my nurbs and scene nurbs.was nothing different.
I think I did not missed anything.
okay forget this:
but why if I added a poly works with this shader ?
and why if I added a nurbs does not work with this shader ?
