View Full Version : Custom IK/FK Rig In Maya -> Motionbuilder -> Maya Again

Hi guys,

Is it possible to set up a custom IK/FK rig with controllers in Maya, import it to MotionBuilder and use the rig in MB, do the animation you need, and then once that info is back in Maya, STILL have the Maya control rig set up for tweaking/fine tuning?

Do you need to do anything special when importing back into Maya to keep the rig? The Maya rig will be set up as closely as possible to the MB one, but will be a generally more detailed skeleton.

I don't want to lose all my IK/FK controllers when I import the animation back into Maya.
