View Full Version : Concerning multiple transparent surfaces(windows) and car interior.

I'm having a bit of trouble with getting this to look right. I want to be able to see through multiple car windows, and the interior obviously also has to be taken into consideration also. When I look at Color+Alpha in combustion I get this grey matte obstructing the tranparency of the windows. This is just one image. I probably should render some pieces seperately and make some mattes. Actually I did this a while back, but I'm not sure if it was a elegant solution. Besides I've forgotten most of it, and want a updated view on this issue. What passes do you recommend and how do I composit the thing?

I'm not sure if this is a problem, but I'm using Mental Ray and FG for rendering.

PS: nevermind the artwork, it's just there to get my point across.
