Hi SamsonsReaper welcome to this forums, well here are a few issues I see in your matte painting.
first of all composition is not solid, what's you focal node?? those monks over there? ot the architecture itself?
I think that some variation in texture should be in each tower we see also each tower should have different perspective , in the top mostly
I'm not that sure with the fire on each tower it looks more like a cut from a real explosion
exposure is also important the foreground tower has a really stron exposure and the second tower in depth completly changes
hope this helps

This is a great start, but the biggest give-away for me is the perspective on the towers. The nearest and middle ones are okay, but it becomes clear you used the same image on the bg towers because the curvature of the round parts of the towers are wrong as they move into the distance. The curve on the top should become flatter on those towers.
Also, the corner shadows need to be darker in the extreme foreground, like where the tower meets the ground.

fixed some things...hope it works somewhat now...
thanks for the help:thumbsup:

i would rework the shadows. in your image, on every shadow the sun is coming from another position (only on the ground) but you have only one sun ;)
for the second left tower, there is a hill so the shadow needs to go up, not down.
last but not least, i'm not sure with the composition ... try pushing the big one more to the right side ...

Hey mate, looking good. Strange to see you working so tight given your speed painting thread, a man of many talents
How did you create the painty look, have you over painted or used a combination of filters?
