View Full Version : Mograph Cloner Object + Null Objects

I have a technique for those that do not have thinking particles and would like to use Mograph with the cloner object to check an animation without having the overhead of the clone object.

You can use the null object to save system resources and still get a good preview in the view editor window. I just place the cloned object in a null, and alternate between the two for render and viewing in view editor.

Here is the image to explain.

You can also just use a matrix object which is far faster than a cloner even with nulls then clone off the matrix object (and enable/disable the cloner altogether).

Another thing you can do is under the Transform tab of the cloner just turn on any of the Display options e.g. Display weight or display color, then just turn off hwhatever you're cloning, again this will be faster than cloning nulls.
