View Full Version : "Hellgate" - moving matte +cameramaps

For me, this is a somewhat more serious attempt at a moving matte. I used 3dsMax and Photoshop with camera mapping techniques. I know there could be a lot of improvements made to it, but this was more a test of what was possible. I will certainly do another moving matte, but I will do it more carefully. One thing that stands out is the bluriness...but I think that has got to do with the compression of the Quicktime file, something I'm not good at controlling.
This one took me about 1 day to complete and was based on a concept done last year. The actual frame rendering took about 1 hour for 300 frames.

Wow, very good.
There can be done some changes, but it looks great already.

very well done, I had seen that concept before and I completly loved it, the movie looks good but I think we all want to see street level as you have in the sketch , reflections and specular higlights will be hard to do , and camera mapping technique will not do it you would have to do several render passes to achieve that look on street level , well done

Looking goog!, though i feel the trees are a little too dominant, especially the one to the left going down. Maybe more features on the right building would be nice, areas that extrude out etc ..
