View Full Version : Write AO to a cache-file like it is possible with FG

11 November 2006, 10:24 AM

is there a way to write Ambient Occlusion to a Cache-file like i can do it
with Final Gathering (using it with rebuild, freeze etc.)

I tried Baking several times and had different probs. (dont really like reapplying baked textures, crashing etc.)

i really like the FG way to handle it

if there is a way....would be great

thx, maxwater

The simplest solution is using the stunning Arch&Design shaders with builtin AO, so you can easily control occlusion of every material.

Just use mib_fg_occlusion instead of mib_amb_occlusion and cache it like usual FG.
