Hi guys. Im after some crits on my latest work so i can can continue learning and improving my work. ( i know the tyre and plastic around the door mirror are a little dodgy, im working on them now )

 Hi! Really nice work. :) The ad-textures look very well. But the a-pillar is a little bit deformed, isn't it? How you said, the car looks like a small plastic car.

1. Try a bigger reflection-intensivity (wheel rim)
2. Try to work with the color shader and a fresnel shader in the reflection-channel. (disable the specular)
3. It seems, you took one big white polygon. Try to highlight the car from left and right (no garantuee that it looks well :) )
4. Perhaps you can create some big "dirt" textures and decrease the ambient occlusion sample-rate to get a "noise" dirt at floor.

Although amazing work :)

ive been playing around and learning a lot. what you guys think now??? anything else needs tweaked????

I think something is wrong with the highlights or reflections. The glas and body surface look very much like a Lexan model car. It looks like a very realistic and detailed RC car to me ;)

I think you should add a few low intensity lights around the car. I real life even thou there is usually only 1 light source (the sun) the light bounces around so much that it gets into all the little corners. The modelling looks great, but it's going to be hard to see the details without some more lights in there.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Ive turned down the reflection and the fresnel strength by about 10%. ive also swapped the hdri and tweaked the lighting. rubber material still needs work!

I keep expectiing to see the corrugation and column somewhere in your reflections – in the bonnet, windscreen, etc. Am I mistaken?

A really nice job there!

Cool but hmm few crits here
The signs on the wall behind the car dont fit the scene, the wall is very old and dirty while the signs are very clean and new.
And on the last image your rear wing is not there...
Good job overall :)

That's coming along nicely.
I think it could do with some post work. Maybe a little bit of noise would help as it still has the "CG" look to it. The contrast could also do with a pump up with the curves function.
Maybe also look at a bit of Depth of Field blurring to help "pop" the car out from the background.

Actualy thats pretty realistic since the name signs on the garages are changed for each race series and season.

I think your camra angel ist too narrow, it looks like a macro ...resulting in a toy car look ...
but cant garantie ... and can it bee that you dont use a real HDRI it looks like a 8Bit Tif illumination too me ... in clear words Im missing some briliance.

but nice anyway
