View Full Version : Subdivide n-Sided polygons

Some of you may have downloaded the PolySubdivide LScript already, but I added a new script to the zip, called cm_PolyDivide.
Some of the guys here inspired me to make this new one! It creates "planks" across the polygon and does not add any new points.
Works better with non-square polys...

And while you're there, please consider coughing up a 5$ donation! ;)

i just had a great idea(i guess)!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i use your subd nsided polys a lot!!!!!!!(its my F9 hot key:)
but heres what i suggest!!!
mix your plugin with the default METAFORM subdivide(shift+D)
so when i have a low poly mesh i can just metaform it without transforming those n-sided polys first eh????

that brings yet another question:

is there a way to lscript-record actions in lw...kind of "record action" in photopoche...(or xsi copy and paste from the script window...)

that could solve this an MANY other little things...

Recording actions in Layout is how a friend of mine developed his Multiple-Undos script.

Unfortunately, (or fortunately) Modeler does not allow for "background" running of any scripts. It seems that perhaps a plugin could be made for Modeler, as some of DStorm's plugins come close, but ultimately your mesh must be updated, so plugin mesh changes must be "released" to Modeler.
