View Full Version : Guild Wars Nightfall contract

Here are a couple critters I did for the recently released GuildWars Nightfall.

Each is around 2000 polygons and uses a single 512 diffuse map. They had to be built on top of existing rigs. The monk uses a little of the toad mesh supplied by ArenaNet but the majority of it was completely rebuilt. The second was a real challenge as the rig supplied was that of a satyr looking creature. I really had to stretch him out to fit.

All in all a very enjoyable experience and I hope to do more work with them in the future.

I'm just a beginner in the gaming industry, but work like yours really motivates me
to work really hard to get there one day myself!

Plus looking at you mesh, I think Ive found part of the answer to the question I posted earlier!

I was always a fan of the guildwars art (and the game of course) and to take a closer look at the models is super cool! :bounce:

Looks great, dude. They'd fit in well with the Guild Wars world while still retaining that BoBo style.

Only thing I don't like is the pointy coth folds on the first model where the texture mirrors down at his lower back.

anyhow great modelling I really like the smooth topology flow and your texture work is marvellous as usual, good stuff

inspiring :)

I like them.

I think the polys on the thing arround 1st guys neck are useless. A texture could have faced that detail well.

gotta agree with Grrrr about the poly necklace, I'm sure those could've been used to round his body out a bit. The purple tongue color on the second one stands out as a bit over saturated compared to the rest of the palette used. But hey, there's no denying these are great, and the texture work seems spot-on consistent to the guild wars stuff I've seen. :D

Bobo you are quite simply one of the best out there, first class work should also have made a front page. Must have been great fun doing these guys.

ive been following your work for many years now and your texturing skillz still amazes me.
You are by far one of the best texture artists.
