Hi everyone. Here's a quick concept for a sort of genetic mutant type guy. Basically a botched experiment. Heh, in a way it's my sad attampt to draw something Resident Evil-esque. :)

Sorry in advance if you get a red X.

Man I saw it at Eatpoo too but I'm still amazed by your artwork ...great use of the mouse dude btw !! ^^ Simple cell shadin' colors but it gives a really good style to your drawin' and it highlights your (great) linework!

The overall design is really great, this mutant seems really heavy thx to the great work on the skin...well done Aaron!

Could be interestin' to see what u can do with a wacom tablet...

This picture kicked my ass right off of my body with a boot made of burning meat.

So, this thing came up to me this one time and it sez to me in this really deep voice, it sez "ME MOM".

02-08-2003, 12:34 PM
really nice work :bounce: , this would be scary as hell if it was in a game, I can imagine it lurching at you flailing its arm around, cool

02-08-2003, 02:21 PM
all i can say is WOW :surprised :applause:

I can imagine this creature either fighting with Judge Dredd  or in the legendary game that is Doom III!

WEll done

02-08-2003, 02:30 PM
that is nasty. Great work.

02-08-2003, 02:47 PM
nice piece. your line work is great, and works very well with the simple shading.
however, it looks unbalanced. it loos too heavy to be supported by the bone spike of its right 'leg', plus it looks like this leg contacts with the ground a bit in front of the body and the other leg, which would further unbalance it. i think the best way to fix it would be to indicate that more weight is being carried by the tentacled right arm. it looks strong enough but at the moment the suggestion that it is carrying that weight is missing.

hope this helps!

How can i get that kinda detail ? shou i begin in hi-res ?

02-08-2003, 07:00 PM
Very nice work--the only thing I would mention is that the eyes bother me a little. Does he have three eyes? It is a little unclear to me. It might be fun to follow the disgusting theme and make his leftmost eye hanging from the socket or something.

Anyway, very creatively disgusting work. Love it.

Cool Guy !! :) :bounce:

02-08-2003, 09:44 PM

What an awesome design. Great character. I love it.

02-09-2003, 10:25 AM
Incredibly imaginative! Amazingly disgusting! And very high quality penmanship! (Is that what it's called? well you know what I mean)
I'd make his eyes less cartoony evil though, it's a bit too exaggerated for me and makes it less scary, for me anyway... Also maybe you should make the exposed 'bone-leg' thicker, just to make him look more functional...
And maybe some blood'n stuff oozing down his/her body?
Well done!

02-09-2003, 10:44 AM
I'll always be amazed by your line work :) It's always sooo awesomely detailed! :D

02-09-2003, 12:25 PM
Your style is so unique I can tell it from a mile away :), the only that bugs me a bit is the eye like Steven mention, its a wee too cartoony, but other than that  very clean concept art
