View Full Version : Where to find references?

Can anyone help me out finding a decent site for finding modelling references?
I got a subscription to 3d.sk but there arent really any attractive female face references on there... So does anyone know where I can find any or whatever.

just googled for attractive+female+face
>>this is what I got<< (http://images.google.be/images?hs=Y1r&hl=nl&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:nl:official_s&q=attractive%2Bfemale%2Bface&btnG=Zoeken&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi)
ask around for beauty and fashion magazines with the women in your environment, I'm sure they'll have some with nice faces. If not go to a perfume store or clothing store or something and collect some brochures
Plenty of ways to find recourses ;)
hope it helps

There are a few attractive female references, keep changing your search parameters on 3D.sk and you should find them. :)
You can also go to www.characterdesigns.com / photosets.

That virtual pose looks really good! But i dont know wether it has what im needing... I need face references from the front, perspective and side for 3d modelling.
Still not getting anything in 3d.sk searches, do you need a account to search? Because im getting nothing without one! Sorry for being a pain in the ass :D

Lol, I thought you had an account. :D Yes, you need an account to get anywhere - there are free samples on the site, but the true depth of the site is reserved for paying members. It's relatively inexpensive - $14 or so for a month, in which you can download as much content as you wish. There is simply TONS of reference on the site, including attractive men and women and orthographic views, searchable by different parameters. Definitely worth signing up for.

Sorry, you misunderstood me. I had a 3d.sk Account about 3 months ago, but I didnt come across any attractive references while I had it, so I downloaded a few and didnt renew the account. If I can actually get a attractive reference or 2 then I wouldnt mind re-subscribing.

(http://www.reference3d.com)www.reference3d.com (http://www.reference3d.com/)also has reference material available for download. If you donít see what you are looking for send us an e-mail and we'll try to capture it during our capture sessions.
Also feed back on how to provide better reference is always appreciated.
