How can I "quickly" find out to which cluster a selected polygon belongs?

select object, u, select Cluster on select menu (rt side of interface), click the polygon = cluster(s) that that poly belongs to is/are selected. If multiple clusters are selected, you can open an explorer and hit f to frame the selected clusters.

If yuou mean by scripting, I'm not completely sure, but it's probably in the SDK somewhere.

To find it manually, you can use the cluster selection mode. Select the raycast poly selection mode (U) and then click on cluster in the Select menu. Now, open the explorer and (with your cursor over the explorer) hit F and it will focus on the selected cluster. If your polygon is in more than one cluster all the clusters the polygon is a part of will be selected.
