Hi guys!
This is something I'm working on these days.

I was trying to do a matte by this concept art (By Alvaro Trincado http://topwallpapers.com/) :

A lot of photoref used, a plenty of painted. I'm painting it 4k for the first time :D . It is still a wip, but I already had great fun doing it... and hard work too

Hope you guys like it. Every comment or crit very appreciated.

That concept art was done by Craig Mullins from his Need For Speed Underground work. Also, your matte is just a photo-collage on top of the original concept art. This seems highly inappropriate.

I am not aware, that the concept art is by Craig Mullins... I found it FREE on web, so...
And I'm not saying it's my work... I'm saying I'm making matte from concept art.... just for practice. Is there something inappropriate about it?

I think rambhat is just pointing out that the work is indeed that of Craig Mullins; (you can see his original concept work here (http://www.goodbrush.com/cpg146/thumbnails.php?album=8).), and that paintovers are generally frowned upon on these forums.

On the topwallpapers.com, there is nothing about Craig Mullins, sorry I didn't know...

Hope you guys can forgive me... I will practice painting over on my own stuff then...

Sheesh that was a whipping:scream:

Ask permission from the original artist, i'm sure he wouldn't mind, acomplished matte paintings always begin as concept art, i know if i created a piece of concept art and someone was going to take it to a photo realistic matte i'd be quite honored:)

So if you still wish to work with this piece, just asked the artist me think.
