thats a beautiful painting!
Your work is on par with the artists who did the character sketches i saw in the art of LOTR book.

Dude this is awesome...great work.
He feels a bit rigid to me in his stance, but maybe that's cause he's so friggin mad cause he's standing next to lava!
I know I'd be.

That's an awesome painting :applause:
Admittedly, I think the pose is a little unexciting, but as a whole, the actual look of this is stunning!
Well done

It's an awesome work, but the pose is not very interesting, which detracts from the "wow"-factor.
You've got very good technique, and it's a really nice image, but for your next piece, a more interesting/dynamic pose would be good. This one is a little stiff...
Nevertheless, better than what I can do

i thought it is a 3D.
I feel the frame can be brighter.
02 February 2003, 08:31 AM
who cares about the pose, art like that has more potential than a 2 year old who understand quantum theory.

Really nice dodge/burning, looks good. But i just have to ask:
How does he shoot arrows if he's holding a sword at the same time? I think you've tried to do 'too much' with him, it would still look good regardless of what weapons he was using because you did such a good job.

Great job. Amazing work  :applause: :applause:

Real good work,:applause:  .

I have to agree with some of the others too. The pose it very stiff, which personally detracts my attention from the amount of detail you have in there. Also the sword bow thing is a bit too much. However, very impressive artwork there. Im still convinced its 3d!
02 February 2003, 03:18 PM
I think had you forgotten about bow entirely and bent his sword arm a bit at the elbow, it would have made a world of difference.
But it's top notch nonetheless.

Thanx for comments people, you are really helpfull .
You right, the pose is stiffy. At this stage, I`ll try with tendons and vains to give him more tension than stiffnes, also hands must
hold the weapons stronger. I hope, that would give him more expression. Head is not important like shoud be, I`ll work on that too. Its true that I`m a 3d artist but this is all done with excube renderer :) , and this is my first finished 2d work.
02 February 2003, 04:22 PM
:) very nice detail, indeed!
02 February 2003, 04:35 PM
Since the valid crits have already been posted and acknowledged all I can say is very good, especially for a first finished work. Glad you posted it.
02 February 2003, 06:37 PM
Really nice detailed, I wish to draw like that , awesome work .... :applause:
02 February 2003, 10:18 PM
Bravo, that is some of the most impresive work I have seen here in a long time. great work. beautiful in a dark way. Good job

I wonder what is artist like this doing in Belgrade Serbia.
As far as I know no feature film production designers of your skill are needed there. (pardon me if wrong)
Get your a$$ in New Zeland quick. :)
btw. I agree with all the criticism so far.
You may need to work on the fire a bit too. Its dead in some areas.

I was thinking to replace a bow with Frodo`s head but that wouldn`t be nice :shame: .Your comments was so usefull that
you improving my skills.Thank you.I`ll post more.

 enough said
02 February 2003, 05:05 PM
It's an awesome piece of work, but the bow seems wrong to me.
Perhaps it's the perspective, I don't know.
02 February 2003, 10:15 PM
I want frodos head :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
