View Full Version : Vulture BattleMech W.I.P.

Hey people i'm working on a hangarbay scene from the battletech/mechwarrior universe, i've started the high poly model for the normal map and would like some comments/tips on my work.

Take a look.

Its still a wip i'm gonna put on some more details like small tubes and stuff and after that i'm thinking of importing it into ZBrush to add some grit/rough texture like on a tank. Leaving in smooth like this seems weird.

Next step is going to be the low poly version and then rendering the normal map and handpainting the diffuse and spec.
After that i'm going to start working on a 100% normal mapped hangarbay.

So please "Shoot"!

i think it looks great, no real crits from me. but, where did you get the refs from? thanks.

Thanks, i mainly used an image from the vulture model by Pawel Czarnecki as a reference because there is just so little info available on this mech if you dont count the low poly versions from Mechwarrior 4.

Going to do some more detail work tomorrow and try to add some texture to the main body, This model is intended for a mod i'm working on for an upcomming game so i just started thinking about what anims i'm going to use and how this would affect the model.

But not to much because it is my day of:)

Great looking model. As well as beating it up in Zbrush, it would be really nice to rip open a bit of the metal, maybe around the leg joints and rip open some of the hatch plates.

sweet
