I just wanted to let you guys know that the upcoming November issue of 3D Attack ( magazine has my second tutorial in a brief series on workflow between Cinema 4D and the Source Engine (or HL2).
This second part focuses on basic vtf (valve texture), vmt (valve material), bump, env_map effects and a close look at the newer $phong material system parameter(s) with lots of examples (and more to be posted soon) from Bodypaint and from within Model Viewer.
This series is (I hope) great if you love MAXON (c4d, BP) software AND Half-Life 2, new to Source engine development... or maybe you just like to read tutorials and look at pictures (I do!). If you grab an issue let me know what sucks (or doesn't suck) about the tutorial or R10 or your favorite Multibrush...
