A Good Deal
I want to begin by saying that I think Discreet is a fine company, and they make great products, which only makes their press releases more endearing.
For example, recently they announced that a single seat of “Inferno”, a premiere compositing program by any standard, is only $671,000. Okay… But they do have a more affordable, stripped down, limited, junior version, “Flame”, for a mere $264,500, (what’s the odd $500?). Their weakest product, by name anyway, “Flint”, (not quite a fire but you can start fires with it), is a price leader at under $100,000, ($99,000 to be exact). These people aren’t fooling around – they sell to professionals. Just moving a couple of those Inferno babies would equal our gross receipts for the year.
All I could say was --- huh???
