View Full Version : Simple lambert or just lambert for FG and raytype?

When using a raytype node, to control FG with say a lambert shader in the FG port, does it really mater if I use a standard lambert shading model with the reflections and transp. turned off or a simple lambert node? Once you turn off reflection etc. are they not the same in terms of render speed?

I read throught the xsi guide on it at it never directly states this for FG so I just thought I'd ask before I begin to convert a ton of textures over...

Good- it seems a little more flexable at times just to keep a standard lambert around for the way it connects and for the change I want to use reflections etc.
