View Full Version : a SSS question

i have a model of a 35 year old ( ish ) woman. She looks just how i want her with just the normal map on but when i add the SSS and textures she just feels too young. The shader is softening her off too much.

in max you were able to boost the normal map using a spinner which would have been the first thing i would have tried, but it doesnt seem to be available in XSI. Is it possible to do this? Or would anything else lessen the softening effect.

im going to mess about with things now.. but its always well and good to see if anyone knows these things.

What SSS shader are you using? miSSS? If so have you tried reducing the radius?
