View Full Version : Showreel

Hi everyone, I've just completed my showreel based on a scene from my short film that I am working on. It's animated in a stop-motion style and the contents of the reel show all the work that went into producing it eg compositing, concept art, modelling and texturing.

I'm just about to use it to apply for jobs, replace my existing reel ( (take a look for comparison if you have time) and put on my CG Society portfolio page and just wanted to get a bit of critique and opinion on it from you guys before I do.

The links are below, thanks in advance,

What sort of work are you looking for? Animation, modeling, texturing, etc?

In any case, it might be worth concentrating or showing more work in a one or two areas and also demonstrating that you can work in more than one style.

Good luck!

Technically its good... the style of it isn't my thing though... the stopmotion doesn`t really work from my perspective it seems too robotic...

Thanks Tom,

Dare I say I am looking for work in area at the moment, though I think my strengths lie in modelling, texturing and compositing. I guess my lack of a specialism obviously shows in this reel. I need to get a move on and produce more stuff.

Thanks again for taking the time look and comment.
