Wow looks cool but I don't know if the characters lighting fits....

02-03-2003, 08:14 PM
Hmmm the lightning is a little dark but i love the style°.°

02-03-2003, 08:20 PM
nice colors, but something about the lighting seems odd.. the rocks seem to have light from the left, and the character has light from the right? in any case, very nice image

02-03-2003, 08:50 PM
Awesome!!!! I've stared into that picture for 15 minutes now!!! I'm dreaming away to another world! Oh my god this is inspiring! This is so going to be my desktop image! ;)

i like the first one first, but both are top notch!!! :applause:

02-03-2003, 09:04 PM
beauticul composition and colours, but the lighting is whats killing you, the character is rim lit from the right, the rocks in the mid grounds are lit on the right as well, the rock way up close is lit on the top and left it seems and the rock piilars on the letside in the back seem to be lit on the left side as well, so not only is the character a little insonsitent, ut some of the rocks are too.

Great piece, coud be just that much better though, would love to see an update if youdo one, but its till stands well.

02-03-2003, 09:16 PM
Yep... the first one has the honor to be my new wallpaper :)
I like quite more than the second. I don't understand very well what kind of guy he is and what he is doing there... I could ask you or I could read your tutorial where (I think) you talk about the image, but I prefer leave free my mind with the first wich suggest me lots of things. :)

Very cool done work!

02-03-2003, 11:09 PM

02-03-2003, 11:19 PM

-Zastrozzi/Kamul/Refracted/Kaiskai/ I've made some changes on my lights, it seems too confusing I see now, tx for your help.

-pabbloz/Silmarillion/iNDO-KESASAR : tx for your comments, I'm very happy you like it

here's some changes I've made :

02-04-2003, 12:19 AM
Now, with the lighting update, it kicks much butt! Good job!

02-04-2003, 12:27 AM
Hmm, loved it the way it was!! all that fuzz about the lightning is just crap imho. No, really!
When I saw the first one I thought he was standing near a forrest or something and the shadow made him a bit darker and some magic light from...and so on... Look at the mountains in the background (lightning).

Anyway, very nice work I like the colors.

i keep on amazed by your work! ever since the first pic of the memories series.

gotta be your fan!

02-04-2003, 04:06 AM
Love it man. I watched the Cowboy Bebop movie last night, and you are reminding me of it with the contrast and colours. I have to agree with everyone on the lighting. It just seems strange that all that light is coming from the right. Also what the heck is coming out of his pants!!!

02-04-2003, 04:26 AM
Woh...C'est trops beau la!! J'adore le design tellement beaucoup. Tu le realise avec quoi alors???

The colors are so warm and everything fit together so well.
There in an underlying feeling of melanchony to this piece that makes it very captivating to me.

02-04-2003, 07:50 AM
nice color and light feelings
but the charactor,i think
the light effect on him could be much better ;)

02-04-2003, 08:57 AM
ton illustration.

02-04-2003, 01:34 PM

I like it! That style is great! The character is not at the level of the background, though...

Tommy Lee/robcamp/lanty/Kamul/Athelor/tchook/William GUiLE:

great tx for your comments, that help me a lot!

William GUiLE/lanty : yes the character was done more quickly than the background and need more depth, later perhaps....

Gamoron : it's a piece of fabrics that coming out of his pants.

daw : yes I like the older version too, but I think it was a little confusing that there was so many differents lights direction. that need a little more work on it I think. later?.....

02-04-2003, 09:46 PM
You haven't lost it at all man, your work always draws me in, I could stare at this for hours :), I love everything about it, the warmth generated by the saturated lights and color pallet and the ever cool balance with the hues on the back mountains. Excellent

Amazing like before. I just think it needs more, and I know you can do more. One aspect of the other painting was that it was busy and cluttered, I think this needs that...it just needs more.:D

02-06-2003, 04:43 AM
C'est manifique!! Je crois que c'est la juste. Bravo!!:applause:

Good painting, joy!

07-29-2003, 12:28 PM
beautiful atmosphere. looks very peaceful.
i wish the guy had a little more detail to match the grass at his feet. he feels a bit out of place. Or maybe the lighting could look a little more golden on him...
I dunno them ore i look at it the more i like it :p
