Blast Code 1.5 Released Lake Tahoe, NV - October 9, 2006 BlastCode, Inc. Releases BlastCode Version 1.5. This new, highly anticipated version of Blast Code incorporates many of the advanced features that were developed for the Academy Award winning film King Kong. Additionally the software has been production proven on X-Men3 - The Last Stand and numerous television and commercial productions. (

This new version of BlastCode is groundbreaking. It incorporates the Ageia Novodex rigid body solver with the Maya animation system. Additionally, the engineers at BlastCode have integrated an entire topography system that allows animators outstanding control over geometry. These systems speed up the many formerly grueling processes within Maya.

The already extensive and well organized manual has been updated and there are now several high quality video tutorials available that support the BlastCode users. Additonally, there is now a very active BlastCode Forum with over 1,800 registered members contributing to the discussion. The Gnomon School of Visual Arts is currently producing a video dedicated to BlastCode and this training will also address the new features in version 1.5

With the release of BlastCode 1.5 artists are truly getting a production proven, powerful tool that will allow them to do more demolition in less time.

Does it work with Maya 8.0?

Since Nima/Novodex is now incorporated into Blastcode, I think Blastcode is waiting for Nima/Novodex to support Maya 8 first.

Least that's what I conclude; doesn't make much sense to not support current software

Is there any chance Blast Code will ever support all us max users?
If note... is there a plugin like Blast Code for max?

Cheers

There is a rumour that the development team are working on a standalone version that would work with all 3D apps, rather than developing plug-ins for all 3D apps.

Is there any chance Blast Code will ever support all us max users?
If note... is there a plugin like Blast Code for max?

Cheers
