View Full Version : Ideas for project development

Hello all. I hope I posted this topic in the right section...

Ok. So here is the deal.
I'm working on my diploma project and i need some advices from you, "the big guys" :)

The project is about creating the virtual 3D university building, but not only the model (which i allready have modeled and textured in 3DsMax), I need this whole building to be interactive, like a game. I need to be able to walk around and stuff like that. I know all about collisions and i allready looked over a few game game engines, but I don't know what to choose and what i realy need from a specific game engine. I'd like for this project to look good, to be eye-catching, to be able to set some lights, shadows, reflections and stuff like that.

About programming part... any language can work for me. I have enough knowledge about C, C++, Visual C, Visual Basic etc. (no VRML please :) )

ANY suggestions are appreciated, and ANY other ideas are welcomed too.

Thank you in advance.
