I could say lots of things to criticize in your work...
IF I only could find a flaw... hahahhha
Kicking butt as always. U took some models and made a short film of them. I found it very strong and moving. It´s not just an architecture flyby. The use of wide angle lenses is delicate, and camera choreography is inspired.
Of course the music helps a lot, but this is what animation is about. To draw emotion from lifeless matter. As I told you, although the music you choose is beautiful, I could´nt help but imagine how fantastic this film would get with that theme from Hans Zimmer.
Keep up the beautiful work!

excellent work!:bounce:

09-28-2006, 09:18 AM
It's really nice, maybe the camera movement could be more worked out.

09-28-2006, 12:25 PM
Wow, thats some amazing pieces of modeling texturing and lighting. Must have taken ages.

My only critic is that you spelt excellence and reconstruction wrong on the titles!

Wow, this is stunning! It's such an inspiring piece of work. Your models are amazing, no doubt. But how you show them truely sets them apart. The camera moves, lighting, music all give them a cinematic quality of their own. Congratulations on the awards, very well deserved.

I cant get the movies, or onto your site either. I try again later to see if it changes.

11-21-2006, 09:36 AM
Lots of work I bet, anyway, I think you might want to put some imperfections in it, even if they built it with perfection in mind, there are bound to be imperfections, eiter by the flaws in construction or by the decay of time. Doesnt have to be much, you shouldn't be able to notice any imperfections, but now that there's none, there's definitely something wrong with it.
Also, I think you should start working on your organic modeling skills, the architecture is very good, but the gargoyle and the statues look... odd.

11-21-2006, 09:38 AM
I cant get the movies, or onto your site either. I try again later to see if it changes.

So good to see it here ! You're a master and a gifted artist.
Hope the guys here in Brazil know that you could be doing this at any great movie studio around the world and wish they honor your value to them !

It's also a good opportunity to thank you for helping me out with my short movie at Melies (Tapp & Tupp).
It's still on production, slowly since I'm too busy now but it never stops...
One day it will come out *lol*.

Keep up with such master pieces and wish you the best, hope to work with you someday !

Cheers !

I'm impressed with the modeling and amazed with the animation...just WOW.

11-22-2006, 11:53 AM
Looks great, saw your models a while back, aldo it looks beautifull, and its well done in that perspective, when i look at it, i cant surpress the feeling i have, and think,

why not put all this effort in something you made up yourself, from construction elements from those times, and really make something special, now it looks good, and great and all, but in the end its not so special, maybe you could alter these sometime, to make something far greater, make some future image of them, the buildings, in the time 3000, how they have changed, mad einto some hybrid building.. ow well, what i just wanted to say, looking great man, keep up the good work.

11-22-2006, 02:17 PM
Sweet reel, can't say more... awesome renders, some were very photorealistic!

Congratulations!
