Here's my latest work. Got alot of inspiration from the Marvel Warwolf creature.
It weighs in at 4100 tris and has got three 1024*1024 texuremaps, color, normal and specular. Software used is Maya and Photosop.
Some screengrabs from Maya.

i like it only thing is it doesnt look much like i think a warwolf should not that i have ever seen one but it looks more like warlizard or warrat to me  The normal maps look good and so do the textures but i think if you want it to look more like warwolf you want to add some fur in places and you should change the tale as thats what makes it look rat like. The head should probably be re-done in my opinion not that there is anything wrong with it, it should just look more wolf like. I think it probably needs ears and the neck needs to be shorter. These are just suggestions to make it look more wolf like but i think it looks good how it is.
Oh and maybe add some ripped clothes
heres a picture i found that could help you

I agree w/ the above. My only other real crit that pops out at me, is the length of the front paws, they look incredibly short. Maybe get some large cat / wolf reference for that. Otherwise, keep posting updates as its surely coming along.

I know this thread is a little old, but in his defense, he's modelling a "Warwolf" from the Excalibur run, and for that he's got the right shape. They look NOTHING like real world wolves or cats, more like what would happen if you applied "relax" to a cat or wolf model a few dozen times.
However, he's actually TOO detailed, and not sleek enough - the warwolves looked like they were living quicksilver, all chrome and stuff, with very few defined muscles and actually tending slightly to fat.

I used this image as reference, then i added some changes to the model =)

The tail makes it look to rat-ish maybe if you used a different texture or something....
and the front paws definately need to be extended out.. the fingers and palm of the hand is way way to condensed

its nice but use another texture

the front feet / hands are still much smaller on your model than on the ref image. As well, I think they look funny even on the reference. Just my 2 cents. The texture as well still needs works and more definition.
