Your speed paints are a hard read... one thing I would do is try to loook at the local color of you object/ chracter first... The define light and shadow, I think it would help add more strength to you speed paints...

Good start. Keep this pace up, and the improvements will come fast.

It does remind me of Samson's style. I can see they are robots of some sort, try to concentrate on defining your forms through value so that it reads a little better. A wise man once said, get your values right and style will follow.

Keep it up :)

very flattered that i inspirrered you :)

some tips,

*try to avoid using 100% blacks

*block out the objects with low opacity brushes

*layer the image between background, foreground and between so that the viewer can read the whole image

*try to apply alot of colorvariety on the objects, even if you dont know what colors to start with just experiment and see which one works best in the environment

*be careful with dodge/burn, use it wisely, best thing is to try to avoid it actually

*think of lightplay, what objects are affected, and how strong should the bouncelight be

hope it helps :) once again glad you like my speeds
