What is the usual skeletal joint limit you use in gaming scenarios? For a main character on screen all the time, wow style?

There usually is no limit, though your rig should be optimized as every joing requires resources to track. From what I have seen, most wow characters dont have fingers or any facial animation (I could be wrong, I'm not one of the 7 million addicted). Assuming its a standard bi-ped you could probably get away w/ 20 or so joints. Hope that helps.
