Woo-hooo! Some food for the frontpage, I guess! ;)
This is very very well done! Great detail and I love the textures!!!
Incredibly fine work, it very much reminds me of the Commandos 2 style (which is one of the greatest compliments I could make...)
But compare yourself! (
What did you do this for? Game? Short? Fun?

Anyway. You earn my greatest respect! :applause:

Beautiful game work. Keep up the great work.

01-28-2003, 08:33 AM
Looks pretty much like Diablo screenshots. Not a bad thing, since Blizzard rocks the world, but... well there it is. Very pretty artwork! Is this a game you're putting together yourself or what's the details?

01-28-2003, 08:35 AM
Hi Mutita, that's a great work, fantastic details.
A shame its not for animation.
Can you post some shots with non orthogonal camera?

01-28-2003, 08:35 AM

01-28-2003, 08:39 AM

01-28-2003, 08:40 AM

01-28-2003, 08:41 AM
Ammmmaaazing work! beautiful textures especially the detail

01-28-2003, 08:42 AM
really nice.

please, put your page in others languajes( if spanish better :hmm: )

sorry my english.

01-28-2003, 08:42 AM
These pics are awesome! Texturing and lighting are top notch and I like the subject matter. My only crit would be that I would like to see a broader more rich color palette. Some of the scenes come off being nearly monochromatic.

Great work...

Are these production renders for a game? or personal work?

01-28-2003, 08:52 AM

these pics are awesome, and the sheer level of detail is just... hubba!

-Can we see some work in progress as to how much 2D/3D this is?

01-28-2003, 08:52 AM
Excellent work. Im guessing this is for Diablo 2 or some game like that? It looks just as good or better than Blizzard's level. :)

01-28-2003, 11:23 PM
Hehe, great work. It kind of reminds of that old game people used to play online, "UO", oh wait people still do play it :) I love the style maybe it can be used to better UO's horrible in-game graphics, otherwise great job. You've almost sparked me to play UO again. :bounce:

01-28-2003, 11:53 PM

Excellent work. If you don't already have a job with a games company, you soon will. Looks as good as the pre-rendered scenes in the "commandos" series of games, which were the best of their kind, in my opinion.

01-31-2003, 02:48 AM
I want this game, make one!

01-31-2003, 03:53 AM
very nice texturing and lighting.....

01-31-2003, 08:23 AM
heh not many players around here eh? :thumbsdow I mean this doeasn't look like diablo at all nor like commandos, hey maybe you guys are to unexpirienced in the game area :) . If this ain't Fallout 3 then I'm Ferra Fosset :p , absolutlley amazing, KU Greetz

I was going to say the same thing :) this reminds me so much of fallout 2 and I absolutely loved that game! goodlag its good that we can see it now without the worry of bandwith probs :) your attention to details is second to none, and you really nailed this game style down to the pixels, love the textures, love the environments and nothing else to say than its very very professional.

You have received the CGtalk choice award For which piece? I don't know but I'll think of something :). Please feel free to display this image anywhere you like! very inspiring work!

upon receiving this award, it guarantees you a spot in the cgtalk gallery hall of fame ( - which you are now placed

P.S. if you need a different background, please send me a PM with the RGB values.

Wow:eek: I swear it nearly killed my modem loading all of that but it was worth it. It's a visual feast!

It reminds me of Planescape torment but far more detailed:thumbsup: :buttrock:

01-31-2003, 01:07 PM

01-31-2003, 03:18 PM

01-31-2003, 04:39 PM
Anyong! (uh... sorry for my korean ;) )
Hey! Very nice ancient korean culture details!
I liked very much the modeling and the textures... even if they remind of Fallout o Diablo they have a nice look...

Would be nice to see your webpage not only in hangul, but also in english... just to know a little more about you and your work!
How many time took you to build a scene?

01-31-2003, 05:06 PM
Can we see a wireframe???

Just curious to see your process.

01-31-2003, 05:14 PM
BEYOND professional, this is really really great work.

I hate giving nothing but praise, but honsetly...this is just about perfect, I agree with hap that the little character does not match the AMAZING level of detail you have reached here, but msot of these 3/4 games are like that.

01-31-2003, 06:58 PM
Heh OSI is to busy adding blue beetles and stupid stuff like that to UO right now. Trust me I still play, but looking forward to getting my deathrobe soon.

This is so akin to diablo 2 its sic. In a good way. The docks look alot like scene 3 jungle docks and the ruins are straight out of scene 2. Amazing to see you did such a good job on these.

Any Chance for an english trans of your page? And I know you stated no US launch in site, but over 85% of the MMORPG market is dominated by US customers so if you ever want to make this a pay to play thing the US would be the place to release. Just implement a translator :)

Anyhow amazing work.

01-31-2003, 07:11 PM
this should be a good game,
kinda like diablo and lineage?

01-31-2003, 10:58 PM
If this ain't Fallout 3 then I'm Ferra Fosset

Yay, another Fallout fan..great choice  I still think the commandos artwork is better though, that's why I made the comparison. Check out the up and coming "panzers" for more of the same style of stuff ;) "Lionheart" too, by the guys that made Fallout, for even more.

Hi goodlag,

Some excelent work! Can you please post some more of those 3dMax solid view/rendering combo pictures?

Regards Frido

02-19-2003, 06:29 AM
hey goodlag, awesome work man, the work you have done really brings back memories of some of the games mentioned

Diablo2, Fallout series, and alot more of commandos. you keep up the good work man, with your talent getting work in the gaming industry, beit america or korea/china im sure you'll get some.

Keep up the good work man :-).

Excellent work. If you don't already have a job with a games company, you soon will. Looks as good as the pre-rendered scenes in the "commandos" series of games, which were the best of their kind, in my opinion.

lmao, thanks alot Jonny Bubonic, now im going to have to install them and beat em lol... damnit! i really love the game, but im soo damn busy

GG! ;-)

02-19-2003, 02:06 PM

02-19-2003, 05:21 PM
fantastic

great detail :applause:

02-19-2003, 05:22 PM
I really respect your work because I feel a great sympathy to 2d games and these sprites reminded me my old days with Fallout 2 .. I am really happy to see someone spend time on making games with 2d engines ... It doesnot always mean to use a new tech. makes games look good I think , its another matter but thats the way I consider new tech's in game design. Congrutulations ....
