On our last job we probably rendered 500 images with Renderama and with only minimal problems (failing to stich a few times...). But doing that by hand isn't exactly rocket science.
Anyway, that's not how Renderama saved the day on this occasion. During the course of said job we were beset by technical problems, my primary hard drive died and had to be formatted, Doug had a backup hard drive try (it partially succeeded) to wipe itself for no apparent reason, another primary hard drive exploded (flames and everything), we had another backup drive simply die on us, and finally (right at the end of the job) another primary hard drive failed.... And it contained the only remaining copy of our master FormZ model. Oh bum.
Renderama to the rescue! Doug had the great idea of reconstructing the model from the mat_x.fac's that get sent to Renderama (as a hardy slave managed to survive the chaos). Fast, clean and tidy.
Marvelous. Thanks Renderama!
