View Full Version : Max 5: How to rig feet so it locks to the ground?

I'm wondering how can one rig the feet so it locks to the ground like Character Studio. I'm working on games and the game engine's limitations is that rotations and position of bones has to be LINEAR. This leaves me no opportunity to lock the feet by adjusting the f curves. I could add many keyframes but the feet still "slide" or "wiggle" a little (I'm using IK)

Would appreciate if any veterans in the gaming industry could help me on this one.

take a look on the Max help and tutorials that deal with character setup, it should be useful for what you want
