You import your 2 movies into combustion.
Switch to the timeline tab and switch to the overview mode. Now select your composite in the workspace panel. In the timeline you should see both your files as layers. ( If you do not see anything then click on the small arrow pointing upwards above the scroll bar in the timeline.)
You should see two bars in the timeline, each representing a clip. One above the other. Drag one of those bars from the center to the right until the in-point of the dragged bar matches the out-point of the un-moved bar. So your bars should look "checkerboarded" (NLE term)
You clips should now be "back-to-back". What you need to remember is that you need to make a composite with a duration equal to the sum of the two clips. You can do this when creating the composition or clicking on the composite in the workspace panel. Select OUTPUT menu in the main controls and change the duration there.
