View Full Version : Game Box Art: Robot Rampage.

This image will form the basis of a wraparound DVD cover for 'Mr. Robot' (the game I'm currently working on), so will be split down the middle. For that purpose, and considering the text and logo layout that will be overlayed on top of it, it fits the bill. However, I'm thinking of working it up for my own personal enjoyment, so any comments appreciated. :)

very nice! I just did a DVD cover recently, mucking around with the text and logos and getting it all to play nicely over the background was really hard! the only thing I would worry about here is that this is a REALLY beautiful vibrant image, and therefore possibly not very well-suited to being a DVD cover. I can't wait to see what you do with it though, I really liked the cover for Starscape!

Very cool. I love the wee yellow robot at the front. this looks like an interesting project
My one crit would be that I think you could work on the floor a little. Maybe desaturate it? make it darker? add some subtle dirt? or something like that. Just now it kinda blends right into the grey robots and the grey tracks on the red robots. Its not a big deal but that was my first impression.
Great work though, I love the style of the texturing

That's a good point. As a cover, the only really important part though is the front. A lot will be masked by text and overlays. Here's roughly what it looks like on the box:
As a standalone image though, I'm sure it can be improved more from both a technical and an artistic standpoint. It certainly could do with a little more drama injecting into it...

Thanks! I'm thinking of redoing that now though :) I've just got new CDs done for both games so I want to update the old cover.:

You are right - it does show off the low poly nature of everything too, and could do with work. Nice ideas!

Yeah :) I think it might need a bit of drama adding in. Something dangerous happening off to the left to give the impression of peril, and more of an indication of movement.
