View Full Version : Extreme lowpoly

Hi everybody, my first 3d-post, I would very much like some comments on it. Itīs a lowpoly Goblin (410 polygons) with a 1024 map, wich I will resize to a 512 later. He is also going to ride a dinosaur later, also a 400 polygon mesh, but not textured yet.
Complete character will therefor be somewhere between 8 and 9 hundred polys.
Modelled in Maya, textured with photoshop. Lighting consists of one ambient light only.
I might add that his neck, ears, hands and feets are not hinished yet.

Yea, Iīll post some updates ASAP. But Iīm afraid that will have to wait. Iīm off to Barcelona next week :D

hehe,,, cool,,, barcelona is a amazing city!!! dont forget to check out all the Gaudi architecture in particular the "segrada familia" (prob spelt wrong)a cathedral designed by Gaudi at also the place where he came to his death,, this is truly awesome,, also the Gaudi park is cool like somthing out of a fantasy and it has a amazing view,,, i love barcelona such a great city!!!!:cool: :)

Really nice texturing job on him!! Post another render when he is finished. Really looks good!

Oh yeah, and can you post the UV texture map sometime too? Just curious to see what it looks like.

Hereīs the UV-map for it. As you can see som areas are still unused. Thatīs where I will add the texture for whatever utility heīs going to hold in his hand :) This is not the same resolution as used above, this is 512x512 and the one on my modell is 1024x1024. But this is the size that it will have when itīs finished.
:rolleyes: I see now that his arms got abit to much space, wich could have been used for something more important. Maybe Iīll change that.
