View Full Version : problem when modeling a strawberry:

I want to model a strawberry, so I applay a displacement map (displace modifer)on a mesh object. However, as the picture show above, at bottom of the strawberry the displacement didn't work very well. Anyway to solve this problem? Plz help me...

I got an email from you about this. I used cylindrical mapping and distorted the map in photoshop to the pips are wider and further apart at the poles and smaller around the wider parts. Just trial and eror. You should b able to make modifications in PS and update them in 3Dmax as you go. Hope this helps.

I really wish you give me more hint so I won't work so hard but not get as good strawberry as yours...
