Would like to know what surfaces are mostly used in animated feature films these days. And what are the procedure. Do the use polys then convert to sub D' or do they just stick to polys and subdivide in the render process. Need to know

I think it depends a lot on the particular studio and how they like to work.

I know that on Cars, Pixar used subd surfaces
