Oh dont worry, Im already subscribed ^^;

Well, about me =o Its always hard to talk about me.

Hello, my name is Úrsula, I am Brazilian, 22 years old, and I am a layer-a-holic :D
I could never attend to real art education. My art teaching in college was almost none, since the focus of my course wasnt fine arts... I couldnt attend to a Fine Arts schools, at least no yet ^^; maybe in a couple years. So I only had the basics.

But my love is drawing! I couldnt stop. When I was 12 years old, I started with mangá... but soon I didnt like it that much... so I started to move between one style and a more detailed one. So right now I am just in the limbo, between two styles.

Since I dont have a better place to host my artwork at the moment, I am using Deviantart (, so you can see some old works there ^^

I mainly work as colorist, as I am never confident enough on my artline. So there I have some color work uploaded also.

07 July 2006, 05:55 PM
Here is what I mean
I cant say if this is manga or not ^^;

This one is a little better

07 July 2006, 07:05 PM
Great stuff SulaMoon. Keep it up. I also checked out your deviantart site. amazing work there too. I definitely see what you mean about being a colorist. But line art is only the beggining for most of the digital art Ive seen, so it's not a bad thing.

07 July 2006, 03:50 AM
Cool stuff in here. Give yourself a little more credit Sula, your line work is great and anyone can color... no offense meant. I just like your stuff better : ) I love the manga-ish painted face, elf girl thing... that rocks!

07 July 2006, 05:37 AM
Hey Úrsula!

Great to discover your thread here and easy to see that you're drawing for a long time: the head studies are amazing:thumbsup: !
Nice to see your own work, the second pic is really beautiful...
looking forward to see more:) !

07 July 2006, 02:13 PM
Thanks! Yeah, I will continue to practice. Maybe there is salvation! =D

Oh, wow! Thanks about that =)

Thanks! Ill try to update some and keep it often.

By the way!
Here are some more old sketchs. I was working now on a comissioned pics, so I cant post it until its done, sadly. I wish I had more time to practice, it was working wonders! I need 30h-days! =P

Just to showcase something I am going to work when I have some free time.
This I was doing before the anatomy workshop. I already corrected a bit, but still see a lot of work to do..

Also, another quick sketch on lunch time ^^ I should start to use refs, I dont use them often.. (hope photoshobucket keep this up)

And just for fun! I cant stop drawing roses lately O.o I need to stop!

07 July 2006, 03:06 PM
Nice had of that, ehm...lady. I liek the way those spikes and horns get their shape from the face. Some things I would change are the shoulders, they're off, and if that's neck behind her ear, then make it thinner. That's about it, I like the rest.

Refs are good, try not just using them but doing some studies from refs :)

Burning roses = good roses  Oh, black roses are good too.

07 July 2006, 03:55 PM
Whoo! That's some splendid rendering man!

Keep it up! I'm watching this thread =D

07 July 2006, 10:03 PM
Well, here I am, busy again  I Ill try to update often, but it probably wont be possible...

Haha tks! When I have time, Ill try to fix the shoulders... this time Ill look for refs, hehe. Its not exactly a neck she have back there, Ill try to fix it and make it more clear ^^

Haha tks a lot! <3 But im a girl! :D

And well, here I was slacking at the weekend! I started this pic of World of Warcraft's Cenarion Daughter. And no, I didnt work on her hands at all =p I plan to finish this, so if anyone has any good ideia for her arms/hand/torso, I would love it!

08 August 2006, 01:04 AM
Wow I really like your style. That.. Thing with the big horns is my favorite. Great colors on that one. :D

08 August 2006, 08:04 AM
Hi Ursula !

That's an awesome style you got here !!! and frankly not manga look at all !
This one ( is really beautiful to me , so as your elf with the horned helmet !! lot of elf girls ... not a secret that I love those héhé ....

And really great work on the anat lessons heads !

Looking forward to see your next work .

cheers ,

08 August 2006, 04:44 PM
Thanks a lot! =D I really need to finish that one

Yay, Zapan is here! Thanks!

Well, and for some update.. I have yet more work  At least, ill do a cool painting for it (or try). Here is what I just sketched at work, between one test and another (Im testing cel-phone games now.. just for some time..).

I really have trouble understanding colors. I dont know what colors to use, how to apply them, what tones to pic... So I was trying to work with some complimentary colors here. Dunno if it worked...

08 August 2006, 07:01 PM
Hey !!

really like that one ! the concept could make something awesome for sure !
Also I do like the Lineage 2 picture you got on your portfolio .... I really dig your style !

looking forward for more :)

cheers ,

08 August 2006, 01:57 PM
Tks a lot Zapan =D

Just a small update on the last image before boos looks this way! :D

08 August 2006, 02:18 AM
This is a beautiful concept!:),I think after August 20 when Stahlberg is back u got to post it there on his overpaint thread , I think it will help u immensely !

08 August 2006, 10:34 PM
Hey Sulamoon

Thanx for the reply in my thread!

Got some really awesome concepts here, and your digital skills are improving with each new post. Think you might want to introduce a higher contrast in some places, but I am a contrast freak. The demon lady is really well done, as is this new one.

Great work, keep us updated!

- d.

08 August 2006, 04:32 PM
nice work, Sulamoon, there are so many here that it`s hard to keep up with your girls :D

08 August 2006, 08:46 AM
Hey, thanks for stopping by too!
Ya, im having problems with contrast, I would like to improve it, but not by the crtl+L way, you know :D So Ill keep on trying!

Oh, true! The overpaint thread is a wonderful idea, thanks!

Thanks a lot! :)

So, I decided I need a break from all my freelance work, and managed to sketch another head. By the end of the month I should have time to restart the head practice, since its such wonderful thing!
Oh, and I think I should have worked the contrast on this one! Ill go back and retouch it later!

Now back to work~

08 August 2006, 03:37 PM
One more!

08 August 2006, 06:10 PM
Nice work going on here :)
My fav. is the elf with horns..those heads are nice as well.

Keep up the good work !

08 August 2006, 07:21 PM
Thanks! Ill do my best! :)

So! After a little confusion here at work, I couldnt go to a trip I was supposed to go.. And was left here, with nothing to do... Good thing I had my graphire on my bag =p

Working again with colors, Im lost still.. anyway, I think the contrast looks better:
(The ref is from Aeon Flux movie... found on Sketchkon ref thread ^^)

08 August 2006, 08:01 PM
another quickie...
Done in 2h-2.5h hours

Once again, trying to get contrast feeling to the colors...

09 September 2006, 08:29 PM

Great stuff here! I really enjoyed looking through your thread. You have a nice style and I particularly like the way that you've handled some of the faces. Lovely work on the last torso, too!

09 September 2006, 10:04 PM
oh wow, lol.. porn. Bad Bad imageshack.. =/ now anyone know where to host my anatomy study?

09 September 2006, 10:24 PM

Try - unfortunately, photobucket no longer allows nude images, no matter how artistic.

Cheers, :)

09 September 2006, 10:43 PM
Ursula, those are some wonderful anatomical studies you've done. Very nice to see these.

09 September 2006, 11:09 PM
Thanks Cris! =D
And thanks Mychael, too ^^

Rebecca: I was using Imageshack. The Black and White version wasnt removed, but the colored version was. Last time I checked it was a big red square saying 'no porn allowed'... now go figure =p

Intervain: Wow, that means a lot comming from you! Thanks a lot!

Me and a nice friend, Molte, had this idea, we are going to try to make a paint together, and help eachother!
Since he is skilled with 3d and with materials, ill try to aborsb some of the knowledge from him hoho!

It will be fun! ^^
here is the sketch we are starting with, its 100% mine at the moment, but that will change soon =)

And here is the thread we will be updating:

04 April 2008, 11:26 PM
Hey guys!

So, I had some time to pratice again. I think I can turn this into a habit now - finally.
Here are some random updates =)

And this one, reference from Marcus ranum:

04 April 2008, 05:13 AM
Your fantasy characters are really nice I must say!

Great to see you practice fine art as well.
A few crits on the last nude study:

her left arm is off. it looks as if it was attached afterwards (check with the shoulder). Her left upperarm needs to be more foreshortened.

The foreshortening of the upper legs could be stronger too. With it, you should concider making the lower legs longer (this is digital, right?)

Nonetheless, beautiful work!

04 April 2008, 08:55 AM
