View Full Version : Blowing sand suggestions?

Anyone have a quick way to create realistic blowing sand? I'm working on a project that requires blowing sand within a desert scene. I've tried using particles system in the 3d app. i'm using, but my computer system takes a cpu whacking when trying to create such a thing.

I figured that post-effect blowing sand would be better. Is this something that Fusion can do? Any tuts? suggestions?

Much depends on a shot? but basicly i would give a try with fusion particles - you can use pImageEmitter with some sand pic, add some forces and turbulence to achive the result.
