Just to get the hand started, a quick mood sketch. I want scale to be a big factor.

carlos the last color sketches are great, , matte paintings work better in a 16:9 aspect or HD the goal is to make it look like a scene from a movie , so working in film aspect will give you more possibilities to work on the composition , that so far is looking great

yeah, jamesvfx is right. But i must admit i saw some realy stunning vertical images ) So all depends on artist`s hand :D

It's been absolutely crazy, I've even been working from home–like today. But is all worth it. I can't yet reveal my project or I'd get sued my my company but as soon as the product hits the market, I'll post it. Anyway...
jamesvfx, Kutkin, MPavel – The reason I created the image so deep it was because I planned it to be a long panning shot. But, that's Ok, I'll play by the rules like the other boys and girls :) I hope I have time to resketch it and finish it.
Genesisa - It must be that adventurer in you. I know how you feel, imagine actually finding proof of Atlantis. Just that would be... magical.
