View Full Version : Grey reflections with MR and Lume

Hi, can you please offer some advice with a scene I am working on? The attached image shows my problem, where the water material I have created shows no colour in the reflections, in fact they come out grey.
I am using 3ds max 8, and have built the lume shaders into a mental ray material as attached.

Can you please suggest anything I can do to get some colour into those reflections? Those are the only shaders in the material, none of the ones I have used have any sub-shaders within them. Am I doing something wrong with the Water Surface shader?

I don't know to much about the "water surface" material you are using there but maybe try mashing a "glass" or "metal" Lume texture in there instead, I think you have a bit more controll over the reflection in those ones.
