Its been awhile since I've posted here, but I've been granted a little extra free time this weekend.

Few assassin more devious than this one walked the dark streets of the town called Sanctuary. Few thought much of the clumsy little kobold when he entered the town. A little lizard fella, that became a cook at the Pissing Crone Inn. No one ever suspected him to be the heartless assassin known as Deep Blue. His quick knives and sharp tongue dripped of venomous spite. Even the darkest of criminals in Sewertown dare not speak his name, for you never knew when he or one of his many minions may be lurking about.

PS & Wacom 2 hours

Hi guys!
1st time here heh
15min, photoshop + tablet

07 July 2006, 08:13 AM
I'm not particularly happy with this one, I think it needs a bit of colour other than blue, might get round to adding some later, but anyway ...

20min / GIMP / Tablet

luciferous - very creative, love it.
BrittanyRichardson - 1 hour!. I'm speechless.
Samsons Reaper - brilliant, as usual.

07 July 2006, 08:40 AM

07 July 2006, 04:26 PM

07 July 2006, 05:18 PM
hi hope im not too late. this is my first post on cgtalk so go easy on me lol im hoping to learn a lot here at cgtalk :)

i havnt actually ever tried painting in photoshop so this is just pencil on paper (hope that is allowed). it took me 1 hour 20 mins. i hope to try painting soon. any feedback and/or advice is welcome :) thanx

07 July 2006, 05:54 PM
Shane - I like the sequential paneling. It really exudes a sense of agony and brevity of time.

Brittany - Very pretty. Enchanting colors and a very whimsical and imaginative piece.

25 mins.

07 July 2006, 06:46 PM
Cheers Daniel, yours is making me think of the abyss, tis very nice... and now onto todays sketch...

-pondproductions - it says any medium so its all good, tis quite a good sketch aswell, painting in photoshop is easy once youve got used to it, it can be murder on your wrist though if your painting with a mouse... i have a permanent boney lump on the base of my palm from using a mouse to paint with before i got my tablet.

-Ashton, introgquing colouring technique and ythe first thing to jump at me when i looked at this was... BUM! hehe nicely done.

-Surrealix, It certainly feels deep down, but yeah maybe not different colours but maybe a slight variance in the blue youve used, maybe?

-Khet13, welcome aboard, and yay for something little less water based, lol

- malcon, i know exactly how that lil guy feels.. i used to be terrified of water... now i love it

.. mm foods ready.. well done everyone else

07 July 2006, 07:40 AM
Have not posted a DSF for a while so dewcided to do one for this topic as it had no time limit :)

This is working size...and took me about an hour and a half..almost 2 hours.. Photoshop..

07 July 2006, 08:18 AM
Hey, all! Haven't been here (to post) in a while, and these color sketches looked like fun. Wouldn't you know it--I just watched the Kasparov VS Deep Blue documentary not two weeks ago. So, thus inspired, I thought I'd lightheartedly anthropomorphize the chess machine from Kasparov's point of view. :D

Took about 45 minutes in PSCS:
Edit: I'm so lame--I used a reference. I wanted to try Dylan Cole's perspective-grid trick. :P

07 July 2006, 04:34 PM
Here is a little something I just sketched up in an hour, nothing serious, just for fun

07 July 2006, 09:14 PM
