-I have a Canon XL1 DV cam, an anamorphic lens and green screen access.
-This will be wide screen 16:9 30fps progressive, so need Maya widescreen renders...

- G5’s, good PC’s, Final Cut Pro HD, After Effects, Photoshop and MAYA.

INSPIRATIONS: (trapcode ‘3d stroke’, simplicity, time lapsed clouds over urban scenes, concrete. colours)

hundreds of ideas twisting and turning bound to meet up at something wonderful. :)

Anyone have ideas on getting MAYA renders like this:

07 July 2006, 07:07 AM
the proportions are working so far, only one is the #2 one the front of the waist looks a little bit too pushed in or flat if that makes sense, i would just push that area out a bit more
as for the rendering, i dont use maya but look around at toon shading or celshade for getting that effect on the characters
i'll follow this one! love this kind of style like i said.. and another site with some good style of videos is

and thanks on the comment! for video work i use a xl1s, and its great

Creativity is about play and a kind of willingness to go with your intuition. It's crucial to an artist. If you know where you are going and what you are going to do, why do it?

You've got to bumble forward into the unknown.
(Frank Gehry)

'Sketches of Frank Gehry' great film for any artist!

Lots of small steps.

Been filming 50 minutes of sky at a time and speeding it up to less then 20 seconds. Weather permitting. The right side is the main character/real life breakdancer that is being modelled in Maya.

Toronto's urban architecture photography collection.

concept sketch

the multiplication of small steps vs a big thing you only ever dream of but never gets done.

This is my main character for the animated part of this music video.

He is modelled from a real-life breakdancer. Just starting to carve in the details and prepare for texture/rigging/animation.

It will be fun having a 3d version and a real version to utilize. imagine the possibilities.
w.i.p. production video by the end of Sept. 2006 for "presentation to the board" :scream:
