View Full Version : How to Camera Track?

06 June 2006, 11:53 PM
I am getting through the basics with MotionBuilder 7.5, and am now about to try something I have seen done, but never done myself: camera tracking.

i.e. During a motion capture session, I have seen markers put on a toolbox and then, within MotionBuilder, the movements of the toolbox are used as the basis of movement for the camera's perspective of the scenery. If the toolbox is lifted up and pointed down at a chair, within MotionBuilder the camera appears to be looking down at the chair; etc.

Now I'd like to try doing this myself, but am not sure how. Could somebody point me in the right direction (i.e. what are the first few steps, to get me started?).
