View Full Version : Stop Sign Shader

Aha, another texturing/shading question.

I'm working on an exterior scene, and need to start creating a stop sign. Fairly basic stuff, except for one little detail. Stop signs, at least in this area, have some sort of honeycomb-like pattern for reflectivity or something. I can't really describe it, I'll post a reference picture: (

I'm really not sure how to go about implementing this. It probably wouldn't be done through bump or displacement, given that stop signs are very smooth surfaces. I don't think it would be put into my color/diffuse map, would it? Also, I'm using a DGS shader.

Any help with this would be much appriciated.

That would be a hexagon filled bump map i think. Slight bump. The rest of it would be a standard metal surface with shiny paint.
