Can anyone give me tips on how to animate falling paper landing on a table using reactor? Maybe there's another way I'm not thinking of as well.

Go to the link aboce, choose your version of max, and search for "SimCloth." (it's free)

SimCloth was made by the same company that manufactures Vray, Chaosgroup. I don't know why they stopped releasing newer versions, but it's great for not only simple cloth simulation, but, surprisingly, for bodily interation as well.

SimCloth has both hard and soft body capabilities, and I'm pretty sure that there are some sample files that come with the installer of the newest version. If not, there are plenty of tuts online.

Check it out, it's definitely a useful tool to have in your modifier list ;)
