View Full Version : l_glass: Glass of water

Hello! I need some help with the I_glass shader beta v2. I'm trying to imitate this dude's great glass of water;action=display;threadid=15404 with l_glass. I installed it using the spdl method and my render has come out quite different when I applied it to my objects. There apears to be nosie on the water (both water and glass have the l_glass shader attached to surface and photon of material) but the noise dissapears if I take the water away. Anyone got any ideas as to how to fix this? Also my glass goes purple-ish at the bottom which I want to fix and which method is better for rendering glass; caustics or Final Gather?

With l_glass shader for both materials I have changed only the refractive index (1.5 for glass 1.3 for water) and the specular decay (300). The first image was rendered with caustics, 100000 photons, one spot light emitting photons, acuracy 100 and everything else set to default. The final gather render had 0 bounce, 100 acuracy, min radius 0.5 max 1, everything else to default.

If anyone can help that would be great! :P
