View Full Version : lights illuminating material from within

06 June 2006, 02:49 PM

I am trying to achieve the effect of a light or glowing object that is within or behind a material (i.e. fabric or waxlike material) and illuminates that material, causing a diffused lighting effect, but still having most light coming from the core (where the light is positioned).
I've tried to do this with mr lume glow in combination with final gather. The glow effect works nicely when its above another object, but when it is put inside the object the glow effect dissappears.

Does anybody know a simple but effective way of achieving this effect?
