View Full Version : Multiple monitor solutions - 3 panel LCDs

01 January 2003, 08:20 PM
I work a lot with 3d animation and video editing, and screen real estate is at a premium in my workflow. I've been looking into a few multiple monitor setups with a minimum of space between them.

Anyone know anything about these monitors?

I saw them at a trade show, and I'm getting pricing from the company now, and I'd like to hear any feedback people have - especially people that have used them first-hand, or if you can suggest alternatives.
Other setup suggestions would be helpful too -

Thanks in advance!

i would die if i got one of those... damn that would be nice!

but you would need a monster of a video card to run OpenGL on each panel... but damn that would be sweet!

you'll need a parhelia if you're going to use that baby.

pareheila + one of these suckers will cost you some big money. you'd be better off with a quadro4 and two flat panels.

not too mention that if I read the specs right, it is an analog LCD display. Digital LCDs are crisper and more responsive than analog.

Just get something like a Quadro 900XL (Or gainward Ti 4600), And two samsung 191T's. With all the money saved, you can buy a plasma TV for each room in your house, Tivo's, digital video transmitters, a few russian brides, and a whole slew of computers :).
