View Full Version : rigging and setting up a realistic WING

Hello all.

We are working on an angel animation with realistic wings with feathers and all.

I would apreciate any information on ways to start resolving the setup. I know some studio had made this raven or crow and that there was article online about it. Now I just can't find it.

I am thinking of following:

- Either IK or sliders to control the main-bone movement.
- some ultra clever way of transforming the feathers as the bones open/close
- some kind of deformation to the feathers to make the bend by the aerodynamic resistance

I am using MAX but any reference would be great
