Autodesk Sparks and Alias Conductor Programs Unite As Part of the
Autodesk Developer Network
San Rafael, CA, USA -June 1, 2006 — Autodesk, Inc. today announced the
merger of its two existing Media & Entertainment developer programs,
Autodesk Sparks and Alias Conductor Programs, under the global Autodesk
Developer Network (ADN). New and existing members will be joining a full
service, worldwide developer program which has more than 2,600 members
worldwide. The program, entitled ADN Sparks, will align the developer
programs of the former Discreet and Alias organizations and better serve
Autodesk’s media and entertainment customers. Autodesk acquired Alias
in January 2006, and has integrated both Alias and Discreet into its
Media & Entertainment Division.
ADN Sparks offers a unified developer network for all Autodesk Media &
Entertainment Division partners, with increased benefits and a
streamlined process for Autodesk’s development communities. The program gives
third-party developers the opportunity to create tools that extend the
functionality of Autodesk’s media and entertainment technology. Such
tools are integrated into Autodesk customers’ development pipelines,
optimizing workflow and increasing their creative capabilities.
ADN Sparks Program Benefits
The ADN Sparks program grants members access to powerful development
kits including advanced tools and virtually all Autodesk media and
entertainment software, helping members create plug-ins and interoperable
software solutions compatible with Autodesk systems and software. The
program also offers members technical support through ADN Sparks DevHelp
Online assistance, in addition to early access to upcoming releases of
Autodesk solutions. All products offered by the ADN Sparks program are
downloadable, with physical media shipments available upon request at no
extra cost. Members receive access to co-marketing opportunities,
exposure to Autodesk’s reseller channel and the ability to post and
personally maintain a catalogue page containing details of their products on
Autodesk websites around the world.
The benefits of the ADN Sparks program are available to new developers
and existing Autodesk Sparks and Alias Conductor members. Developers
who previously were members of both Sparks and Conductor programs will
benefit from a single unified application, enrolment and payment
structure. The former Autodesk Sparks and Alias Conductor web portals have been
merged and migrated to the new ADN Sparks web extranet, found at
